I was searching for Kohana tutorials, because you can't find clearly explained tutorials on the internet of it.
I found once this site: http://www.dealtaker.com/ou... but it was to heavy for starting.
This one is really great for beginners. I'm already quite advance in php but not in Kohana... I already read alot in the documentation but I gave it up.
Now that I found these tutorials I'm glad to pick it up again. Unfortunatly enough there is no continue to these superb tutorials.

Thanks anyway for these great tuts !

Hi Nathan,
I was giving a non-subjective opinions when using a PHP MVC framework for your purpose as all well-maintained frameworks exist for different reason being.

Althought I'm a Kohana user, I won't talk people out of CakePHP as they are currently the hottest (ie/ more support), or Zend as they are consider as most formalised one.

Hi Travis, great post.
I'm having an issue with an upgrade from WPMU 2.9.2 to WP 3.2.1 (MultiSite), I have near 30 blogs, and after the update the regular admins of each blog can't see the new feature Appearance -> Widgets/Menus.
I don't know what's wrong with the update process, I followed the instructions in "Upgrading WordPress Extended" over and over, and I can't make that setting to the admins.
As a SuperAdmin I can see those features in every blog, so it's not an issue with the theme.
Another thing that I have noticed is that when I create a new blog, the regular admin of the new blog can see those menus (which puzzles me even more)
Do you have any idea about this? I guess the wp-admin/upgrade.php script execution had an error updating every blog table, but nothing showed up...
I tried re-running that script but says that my database is up to date.

Glad that you find this post useful, Jason!

However, be aware that detailed files with description are not all files that has been modified between releases as I skip ones that are purely comments or refactors.

I have a subversion of all clean, official releases and that's how I see changed files/lines.

Thanks heaps! I'll be checking here whenever new updates for Kohana are released. Because I don't update via Git I get worried about which files need updating etc. I don't want my apps to break so checking here is great to see which files will need replacing etc. :)

I've gone a bit loose on technical blogging while focus more on "Photo" section of my blog. I do plan to come back and continue with Kohana tutorials :-)
